Hello

I would like to ask for your help to find out if this watch is authentic or not.

I came across this watch for sale but I don't want to end up with a franken.

the serial is 198xxxxxx

If it is authentic, how much do you think this watch is worth? The dial is in pretty bad condition, so I think I have some room for negotiation.

With a dial like that I’d have already moved on.

Originality is great when the watch is in at least average-good condition. There’s no point having an original watch is the main parts are toast.

I’m with @Davidt … the first three things I look at in a vintage watch are the dial, the dial, and the dial. I’d pass on this one.
