This white Speedmaster…

I can’t stop looking at this thing! I’ve had it a week. It’s my first Omega and my first watch over 2000 dollars. It’s currently my only watch and I don’t think I’ll ever buy another watch as long as I live. This thing is amazing.

I never considered spending this much for a watch but once I saw it, I knew I had to have it. All the other watches I looked at before seem so lame now.

I’m over the moon with this.

Wearing this watch makes me feel like I have all of the answers. Is that what watches do? I've never really worn one before.

It's like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, it gives you a brain to figure out the meaning of life.

If I had a white Speedmaster, I’m certain I would look 6 inches taller and be irresistible to women. They can do that.

I got my first scratch yesterday. On the clasp. It hurt.

Now I know I will never buy a Snoopy. If I can't handle a light scratch on a replaceable part, I can't wear a 15k watch.

Automotive PPF on the clasp of all of mine. And 3000 grit sanding disc fixes the brushed stainless finish, just don't go across.

Normal. It's an 7-8k watch. That's a lot of money.
The first scratch is always a bit uncomfortable. But they become beautiful with time.

Bad news. That never goes away. You will be permanently distracted from now on.

I smacked my hesalite speedy and nicked a lug after about 4 days. The jeweler at the local AD was able to fix it easily.

I go bare, the only way to fly. These aren't safe queens, and I've had some expensive watches over the years, but I'm not going to baby them. But everybody's got to do what they got to do.

It's such an easy thing to do though. Why ask for scuffs? Not like I encase the whole thing. My watches do get worn all the time.

Heh, the clasps on all my watches are a total mess. I consider them to be just a sign that it is a well loved watch!

The one that breaks my heart though is a dented bezel, which I've been lucky to avoid lately.

I'm already over it!
