Hi everyone I've just bought this amazing Dynamic 3rd generation , I dont know much about it execpt it's circa 1997 Omega Dynamic Serial number 5556**** Endlinks 871 Bracelet 1571 Movement Cal 1138 Its running strong and keeping good time the build quality is amazing to me and is so unusual I have not seen this model before until I found this one in a prestigious jewellers in Eastbourne I believe it is a homage to WW11 airforce which if so is quite fitted as my area has a big conection with the airforce Can anybody tell me more information please
hello, What would you like to know? There is a non chrono version and a limited edition Targa Florio, which is quite nice. They are nice watches, not very popular for some reason, although prices for used ones seem to be creeping up. Enjoy your watch and wear it in good health. I am a fan of the early ones as are many collectors on here.
They are neat and tend to rise and fall in price every few years as they go in and out of fashion. The thing that hurts it in my opinion, is the casualness of the dial. It really is a casual almost “fun” looking watch, esp with the hint of blue in the dial and yellow highlights. It has great vintage styling but the moderness of the watch doesn’t always fit. Great looking pieces though and I’m sure almost every member has thought about getting one at some point. I know I did a few years back. Don’t take what I said as it being a bad watch far from it in my opinion I just don’t see a place for it currently in my style choices. I was very very close to buying one at least 2 times. The non Chrono also has a smaller case.
I have had both, I have now moved the chrono on but here is the 3 hander version for the benefit of those that don't know it. These both wear very well, particularly IMO the slightly smaller and thinner 3 hander. Only 36mm vs the ~38mm of the chrono but they are nearly all dial so wear bigger than the raw dimensions would suggest, the dial and hands are in fact pretty much the same size as a full size SMP: ps Foo, I can't see the blue hints you mentioned on either version but I agree that the mix of colours isn't for everyone. There are actually both tritium and SL versions of both and the chrono has 2 distinctly different sub dial designs so there is more variety with these than some may imagine. That is before we even mention the very different Targa Florio version of the chrono. Here is my now gone chrono which has the alternative later minute recorder sub dial design btw both of mine were/are the later Superluminova dial variety: Lots of further info here: https://www.watchcollectinglifestyl...52405000-at-least-to-us-third-time-is-a-charm
I seriously can't imagine why anyone would like to look at this dial design on their wrist over a lenght of time. It looks like something made in a kindergarden with far too easy access to comic sans
it's the modern day Daytona, in 30 years time young guns will be paying billions of dollars to own one of these.
There is no AR on these AFAIK, not sure what you are seeing to be honest but will take a look at Google. The lume can look a little green in a certain light, especially on the SL models but no more so than many other designs. EDIT: just tried a search on "Omega Dynamic". You do get a lot of hits for the late '60s Geneve Dynamic Gen 1 models with blue hands but that model is unrelated to the 1990s one (gen 3) other than the obvious common name, which Omega have used a few times for stuff which doesn't fit in any other box (the gen 2 was the 80s Spider design). My Dynamic gen 1 with blue hand, now this really is a challenging design:
I see that the OP has just put his watch up for sale immediately after pumping it on this thread. Real classy. Thanks for that. Oh by the way, it is overpriced.
I decided to put it up for sale because I realised that it would not get enough wrist time as I like my Air King too much And btw if you look on chrono 24 you will find its a good price and yes I think its the nicest watch Omega have made which is my opinion only
You make a sweeping statement about how great it is to generate interest and get info from other users then use that to sell it immediately. At a ridiculously over inflated price. I would suggest it is a dealer trick except most of them are usually rather more subtle. I am sure the others who responded to your initial query are equally as impressed at being taken for a ride.
