Take a look for yourself: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/how-safe-dive-new-omega-seamaster-41mm-300m-1029463.html Am I missing something? This is like buying a Ferrari and joining a Ferrari forum to ask if it's safe to drive over 35 mph.
Here's another that's almost as inane - including a nice myth busting by lysander: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/wat...sh-watch-under-running-tap-water-1028738.html Why, why, why do I bother going there anymore? That place is chock full of schmucks!
This is my favorite response .... "The Benrus field watches issues to GIs in WW2 weren't particularly water-resistant, but they handled charging off a landing craft, though rough surf and explosions, just fine. I think almost any modern watch, with any degree of water resistance will do equally fine in a sink." And there is so much misinformation over there in regard to vintage watches...WUS is a waste of band width really!
the way i see it a lot of these sorts of threads are just veiled and insecure bragging. "Is it really safe to go diving with my really expensive XXXX dive watch?" The first guy managed to squeeze in some extra bragging about having a wife. I suspect if I ever got to see what this guy looks like, it would be even more clear why he thinks having a girl sleep with him is something to brag about.
"My rich horny beautiful girlfriend want to buy me a SMPO chrono rattrapante MP but I'm worried that if I wear it on my right wrist the constant raising and lowering of my right arm every evening as I'm drinking my regular libation of $900 Krug champagne might overwind it, what do you think?" wear it on your left wrist, the constant up and down motion it will experience will keep it at 40 hours PR without any problem
You obviously have never spent time on WUS. They'll debate anything for pages and pages - the more inane the topic, the more discussion.
