A nugget found while panning for watches The hook is the dial The back - very unusual - has not only the case number but a date which fits the date of manufacture of the watch. I can't find any other sign of an inscription - looks likes a factory marking An early 133.8 inside not bad for a random find What's the only thing that could make an anonymous Zenith better? Catalog validation from the 1953 edition! (catalog credit Nicola1960)
Nice Living Color reference. The two gay movie critics were one of the better sketches, although I still prefer the homeless drunk Anton.
Fantastic example! I was going to comment on the notes found on the reverse of the strap (DARK TAN) then realized that's a great idea for those who are not able to distinguish between colors. Another great find! Your collection adds up to a very fine museum-quality assemblage!
The point of that is simply so that I can order the same thing again if I want to. There are so many variations they are hard to recall and keep straight
Good work there. That is a great looking dial. It's very nice to see a Zenith with the waffle effect coming from around the same period as many of the lovely Omega waffles that we regularly see on here, I guess it was in vogue with the various manufacturers of the day.
Great find marking on the case back is really unusual , the only one I have seen on any watch . what is the case size?
35mm. I thought the date had to be part of an inscription, but if it's been polished out, it's been done very skilfully - I can't find any sign of it.
