A seller has this posted on my local Craigslist. I think it is pretty clearly a fake, but I am not a Rolex guy. I thought I would ask before I call him on it. fake.jpg fake2.jpg

Be nice guys. If your not an expert it’s not immediately obvious. It’s fairly well executed on the obvious stuff. There is much much worse out there.

It is a poor fake. Avoid.

(This also applies to good fakes)

One may be a newbie but if you can't tell when the golden paint has started to peel on the way home, you might reconsider whether you should be buying vintage watches.

It may help if you guys point out the defects as the OP obviously is not to certain what to look for.
I'm no expert myself but 'll start.
No Swiss on the bottom of the dial,
size of day window to day lettering is out of ratio,
cyclops and date looks to be out of alignment and not magnified to well, it could be the picture angle,
date wheel not central in window but that could be the picture angle again,
dial batons do not align with the numbers, lume plots also misaligned,
rehault with minute and hour markers???
and the strap is to narrow at the lugs ;).
I am certain I missed a lot more and liked to hear so.
How 's your long Easter weekend progressing so far?

You're giving him $1 over market price.

I thought it was pretty clearly a fake, but still don't have complete confidence. I wanted to be %100 before reporting it. To me it just looked fake, so it is nice to have more details to watch out for. Thanks!
