To answer my own question, and to pull from helpful replies, it would seem this movement was one of the first to be submitted for a chronometer certificate, out performed even some of the most sophisticated movements and bagged Omega loads of awards. Some say it was also one of the first copper plated movements, but details are sketchy. Great talking with you all, and I'm sorry if some if you felt terribly offended in me asking basic questions. I will stick to the shadows until I can claim WIS levels! Cheers all.
