Not that long ago, an air cooled SC could be had for around $15k in excellent condition. I debated one and opted for the 4 doors and back seat of my M5…which I bought for $20k

944s are great. They were not expensive until speculators appeared.

I don’t know where you all live, but speaking of things being cheaper not that long ago - have you seen real estate? I bought my first home for $61 a square foot (2600 sq ft) in 2018. 5 years later there isn’t a home listed in this area for less than double square foot price.

Also I realize that $120 sq/ft for a dump in some places is a steal. But that’s a lot of change in 5 years, not to mention higher interest rates

Yeah, we couldn’t afford our house if we were to buy it now. We have passively talked about moving to a larger/nicer home for a few years and now there is no chance- we just have to dig in and make the most of what we’ve got.
