A lot of nice scenic pictures, would be helpful to include country/city as well.

Second snow of the year in DC area in a week.

Currently -12 C and sunny. They were promising cold weather and a polar vortex, but we haven't had a day below -20 yet...

I don’t know man that stuff gets nuts. I think it was last Friday we hit -17 but that was with windchill. That day I had to go out and meet some new clients. No one would have bitched if I changed the meeting dates but these people are looking for help and they have already been waiting months so I kept the meetings. Anyway when I finished I was honestly not feeling right. All the spots I had surgery on were really barking. I’ve seen the documentaries of residents in Siberia going out with short sleeves in -60 to chop wood (don’t remember the exact temp but they said most humans would get frostbite in minutes) they, I guess, are genetically able to handle that. Do you find being out in that for extended periods of times makes you feel funky or are you used to it.

-24° C (-11 F). Wind chill over night -40 to -50 C. (-40 ° to -58° F). Jane Fonda thinks we can exist on wind, solar, electric cars, and other “green” sources of energy. Maybe where she lives! ::rimshot:: My province has the second or third highest reserves of petroleum in the world. Luminaries such as she want the petroleum industry shut down. Now!

A few days late but one of my daughters just sent me this image taken in Edinburgh and I reckon it is worth a showing.

Scott Monument on Princess Street.

Ice storm hit us. Lots of trees busted up across town. Power is down.

Got up at 130am to cut a limb hanging off the porch in an effort to save the fiber line. Was rewarded with a coyote walking up the middle of the street. Nice moment. In the morning the fiber line was down anyway from more branches falling and ice bombs. No power and no wireless. Using the car to charge up. Still warmer than Texas though. Just a little inconvenient but we're lucky.

One of these days I will buy that generator.

While those of us on the south coast of BC (like the Pacific NW just across the border) enjoy very mild winters, we saw two days of heavy snowfall this past weekend. Typically, it’s melted now (except for the large snowball by the red planters), yet growing up in Alberta I know what bitterly cold winters are like. But we were somewhat used to it. Wishing our friends and family in the Southern US all the best as they literally weather this climate insanity.

Minus 6 degrees now and some snow. We have had minus degrees in Stockholm for 2 weeks now so many appreciate the ice on lakes and in the forrest.

Clear blue skies and warm sunshine, well 12° feels warm after all the snow and ice we have endured 😀

+1 here today, and we had a bunch of wet, heavy snow last night.

Sitting here at my desk listening to the two neighbourhood kids shovel my driveway...😀
