Very windy and raining today...yesterday was nice so we finished the fall clean up. This is a couple of weeks ago...about the 5th time cleaning up the leaves:

So once they were all down (or close to it) we spent the afternoon yesterday cleaning the eaves out, and removing the leaves from the valleys of the roof:

Had a couple of trees removed on Friday. The last large Ash tree we had left, as the Emerald Ash Borer has devastated the ash trees in our area over the last 10 years or so. We have removed about 20 trees that were 18 inches in diameter or larger, plus a bunch of other smaller trees - the stump from the last larger one:

Also had a Basswood removed, as it was getting to be in rough shape, and we've already had a few of these implode over the years...clearly the center of this one was gone and with the wind we have today I feel better knowing it's down:

Then we started the process of putting away some firewood for the winter:

Next weekend we'll rearrange the garage, put the riding mower in a different area and get the snow blower ready, and we'll pretty much quadruple the wood you see there now.

Nice enough to get some tennis in this afternoon...city is leaving the nets up as long as possible, and 3 of the tennis courts were busy, and a few pickle ball courts too:

It was supposed to hit 18 C today, but we didn't get there...

Much cooler weather tomorrow, and then possibly a good dump of snow on Sunday...

Rain, Rain and Rain, 6 inches, 148 mm in 24 hours

Watched the neighbours house hit with lightning yesterday.
Not rare to see thousands of lightning strikes in a few hours

2018 - Over Christmas Day in the Darwin region, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said more than 91,000 strikes were recorded.
(Only 86400 seconds in a day remember) 馃槜

As it's perfectly reasonable and clear to understand in the UK, weather today in the south is wet, but dry.

Currently colder in my office than it is outside.
We had a cold front come through Christmas day so the last couple days have been chilly.
But currently in the low 70's, however like I said it is 68 in my office. The heat is not on and the building is not warming up very fast.
Burr. Florida BTW.

High winds in Dorset, a few days ago, left a nice surprise in the garden...

A somewhat calmer, and eerie day, in Arne reserve, yesterday...
