After what was one of the nicest Septembers I can recall, the last few days the temps have started to slide. It was just 5 degrees C this morning, and I think the high today will only hit 14. Tomorrow the high is only going to be 12, so cooler weather has arrived!
The leaves are also starting to change. I do hope they hold off for a little while longer - my wife's brother is visiting from Australia in a couple of weeks and it would be nice for them to see some colours...
We had a nice September here in New York too... not a drop of rain for most of the month. Now we're getting a bit of hurricane-fringe weather and the forecast is damp for the foreseeable future (~5 days). Boo.
Bright sunshine and 53 degrees F in the Detroit Metro area of Michigan. The leaves are starting to turn, and there will doubtless be brisk weather, and brisk business, at the local cider mills this weekend.
Well today it's nice and sunny, if a bit cool (currently +3 C). Last week my wife's brother and sister-in-law were here for a few days visiting from Australia on their way to a conference in the US. The last time they were here it was late June some 26+ years ago for our wedding...it was hot and very humid as I recall.
This time they came just in time to see the fall colours, and also the first real snow of the year last Saturday:
It's a gorgeous November day in North Central Ohio. 50 degrees F. and hardly any wind. The perfect day to do some more leafs. This is the fourth load and there are three more already swept and
ready to load. Of course they are not all down and some won't fall till spring. The joys of home ownership, I say!
