I really would like to own a Vintage omega piece someday. My size as a human precludes anything under a 40 face size. Be that as it may, I Thu k the “ jumbo” would fit that niche , nicely. I can’t seem to find out how long they were made , what their different configurations were, or frankly, how to tell a good from a bad one ( ie what to look for). I’d love for all you professionals, to fill
Me in, and thanks!!

Jumbo generally refers to any of the references over 37mm, although some people will include 36mm pieces as well. There are quite a few different references, both manual and automatic, and they were made for decades.

Here's a little reading material for you -

Something to consider, though - neither "beefy" nor "jumbo" will always be the answer on the larger wrist. I think the first link has some discussion on the virtues of slimmer bezels increasing the perceived visual impact for the larger human. Enjoy!
