Also what about my bracelet balance? Why is the watch always bending on the 12 o’clock side if I don’t set the balance to an extreme as I did now (5 removable links at 12 and only 1 at 6, which makes a difference of 4 between the sides).
Never had this experience with any other watches or metal bracelet previously.
Thanks

What is your exact balance with the newest Speedy bracelet?
I have my watch since 1 month (brand new Saphir Sandwich Ref: xxxx002) and I’m unable to get a confortable fit and the watch is always bending towards the 12 o’clock on my wrist…
The best actual option I found is 5 removable links at 12 and 1 at 6 with the extension opened.
But I really don’t understand why I need to make this « extreme » configuration to get the watch approximately well sitted on my wrist and confortable… when I say confortable it’s a big word too as I have a lot of marks of the bracelet and the clasp on my skin after a day of use… even if it’s loose enough 😖
Please help!

its very standard procedure to regrind your screwdrivers for a watchmaker so for the most part no. My current workplace does have some driver blades that come sized to particular screws that we use all the time, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Omega does something similar for their service centers and boutiques but I would imagine they are quite hard to buy otherwise.
Correct - there's no "special blade", just a regular wedge shaped blade specified by Omega for this purpose:

It's for this screwdriver...

DYNAMOMETRIC SCREWDRIVER 4.5 cNm

Everybody's wrist shape is different, some more round, some more oval, depends on how the radius and ulna bones are arranged, too, relative to the skin's surface. You just have to remove links as needed to get a comfortable fit for YOU. If you like the watch not to move on your wrist, as I do, you'll usually wind up with some marks on the wrist. It's all normal, it's all personal. I always have to remove more 6 o'clock links, but that's just how I'm built.

I know that we are all built different but this ration 5 at 12 o’clock / 1 at 6 o ´clock feels weird to me…
What is your personal configuration for instance?

Ive noticed mine varies from brand to brand, I have 3 at 12 and 2 at 6 on the speedmaster, but 1 and a half on 12 and none at 6 on my Grand Seiko for example.

For me, usually 2 or 3 from 6 o'clock side, one from 12. 7 1/2" wrist.

So you have more links on the 6 o'clock side versus 12? I guess this configuration is not OK if you don't want the watch to bend towards the 12 oclock side on your wrist.
Am I not correct?

No, fewer links at 6 o'clock (remove 2 or 3). As I mentioned before it depends on the individual, there is no right or wrong configuration, adjust as needed to suit YOUR wrist.

Ok so your answer was more : "remove 2 or 3 links at 6 and 1 at 12; am I correct?
I can't remember but I think at the very beginning there was 6 removable links on both sides right?

IIRC there are six removable links on each side.

I remove more links on 6 o'clock side, yes.

For me, on the current Speedmaster bracelet it is an easy answer of remove 3 of the links from each side of the bracelet.

Generally however my wrist shape means I need to leave slightly more links on the 6 side vs the 12 side. I appreciate I am probably in the minority on this but it is what works for me and leaves the watch balanced and comfortable.

I have tried again several configurations tonight:
5 at twelve / 1 at six
4 at twelve / 2 at six (current but still not fully happy… and it continue to bend toward the outside of my wrist)
3 at twelve / 3 at six

The only thing I didn’t try is put more links on the 6 o’clock but I guess it makes no sense trying this because the watch is already facing toward the 12 o’clock side of my wrist…

Please help!! 🙏🙏🥹

You may be surprised that moving the extra link to the 6 side may actually help. It largely depends on where the clasp ends up sitting and wrist shape

Oh yes, you think so?!
That would definitely be my first watch with more links on the 6 side vs the 12 side... I could give it a try but I'm wondering if I'm not going to buy the rubber strap from Omega and close this case! 😩
