When the Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary debuted on October 5th, 2020, the Speedmaster enthusiasts went crazy. That included me, of course, as I am a fan of the Snoopy/Apollo 13 story. So, I decided that I needed to add one to my collection. The Snoopy 50th Anniversary, or “Snoopy 3”, is the […]

Can somebody else go first because I really can’t decide. I absolutely love the blue as it’s so different to everything else. I’ve also bought into it heavily knowing there’s (be it the slimmest) the chance of buying it at an OB whereas the ship has sailed for the other two. If hypothetically, they were easily bought and I could have only one I would have tears in my eyes leaving #2 behind.

I think the new one is the best just because of the caseback automation with the capsule, that’s something unique and cool even among LE Speedmasters. Beautiful watch too as I love panda dials, and that shade of blue, great piece overall and still acquirable. That isn’t to say the others are bad but the silver snoopy is presently vastly overpriced in my view.

For me the caseback of the Snoopy 2 is perfect in execution but I agree it's vastly overpriced.

I rank them in reverse order they came out also. The blue puts the new one over the top.

I don't have any of them and haven't even seen one in the flesh, but just from the pictures I think the 2nd one is the one I would pick. The latest version just seems a little too gimmicky for me.

I like the 2003 one (on the left).
Not too many full sets of that unit you can find ref. 3578.51

I love the original Snoopy, but I have a soft spot for the latest (on the right) just because of the cool animated caseback.

1.5y ago, I would pick the new one. No brainer. In a milisecond. Today? I’m so disgusted with the sales process of the new Snoopy that I actually have kind of distaste to this watch. So what I would pick today? The one that sits behind these three - Apollo 13 Missions. I got one in my collection and I love it. Tritium dial and beautiful mission patch. Albeit no Snoopy on this one.

#3 for me, I never understood why Snoopy seemed so downtrodden in #2. He didn't really seem to have the "this may be our finest hour" mentality, but the #2 caseback is amazing.

The full white dial is to me, THE Omega Snoopy. (Even if i imagine the animation on the caseback of #3 must be something to see)

there’s a good mod suggestion.

that mod might be the ultimate Snoopy
