Morning All! Episode 30 of the Time 4A Pint Podcast is Live! - this week we got together with Stuart, the man behind omegaholygrail.com to talk about the Omega Speedmaster 376.0822, or as it's better known in watch collector circles, The Omega Holy Grail. Stuart kindly brought along two versions of the 376.0822, one all original, the other with service parts, and shared with us what to look for when trying to evaluate this uncommon Speedmaster from the 1980s. Listen Now.
Just posting a French holygrail with the Omega service dial which has the French day window showing Sam [for Samedi]
Thanks for this great report but seeing the price of those has just reached beyond insanity. I wouldn't pay more than 3-4k$ for a 5100 even if it is a rare and discontinued movement now especially in a rare and limited production model.
Well interesting response ..often rare and expensive does not go together there are at least 4 times s many 2998s as there are holy grails and 30 times as many ed whites But people don’t pay for the movement they pay for the watch
Truly fascinating podcast and website. Oh I have so much to learn Shame I don't have the money for anything like this.
I m h o there are lots of interesting small production run models which are much cheaper The cal 1500 iterations are fantastic from the early 1970 the Megaquartz 1510. only 1000 produced originally over 4 times the price of the Moonwatch! Get a nice example for under £2000 phenomenal bargain and the height of technology...accuracy to 9 seconds a year !
