Wife: “Hey, there’s a “lot” of watch bands coming up at auction”. Me: “ok cool. If you get them, I can probably use the old buckles”.

Result: why am I even making straps now? Lots of longer and wider leather straps (genuine leather, meaning they will last about as long as Bazooka Joe’s Bubble Gum taste).

A few Seikos, plus two logos that I vaguely remember seeing. Lots of cheesy gold colour and lots of rubber straps.

Way better than I expected!

Wow, she must be strapped for cash.

Two Seikos and two Enicars. The Seikos have arrived. Enicars on the way. I had to look up how the Kinetic works. The chrono is quartz and keeping time. Has a certain Speedmaster look.

The kinetic bracelet is huge. My wrist is 7 1/4. These buys came as a surprise.

Takes up more space than watches. But at least one can sit on a chair or store stuff in a trunk. What can you do with another watch? Except watch it? Or maybe sell it…. 🙄

OP--your wrist is huge from helping your wife lift all her antiques! As long as she doesn't give you heat for your collecting, you don't give her heat for hers. Works for me.

At least she has some inclination toward your hobbies. My wife has absolutely hated every hobby I've ever had. She hates motorcycles, muscle cars, computers, photography, and afternoon naps. I know how to pick 'em

She's promoting watch collecting as a hobby. That's a laudable profession.

(You might want to buy a MoonSwatch and slip it in with the others just to generate some extra buzz from her customers.)
