My 1970's Trinity is complete (until I decide it should be a quadrality)! Pictures are far better than words, so I'll let them take over.

Is that really three separate Speedmaster 125s!?!

Whoops! No, I was unclear (I guess words beat pictures once in a while). This 125 joins my 176.0014 "TV Dial" and Speedsonic Lobster for the holy '70's Trinity.

Oh! Ok, I was going to say if you'd bought three Speedmaster 125s that's a bit nutty lol, that makes much more sense now

I gave myself some time to think clearly, but I still say:

Ain't nuthin' wrong with having three Speedy 125's.

I'm beginning to think (after buying my first Lemania-based chrono a month ago) that the 125 may just be the greatest chrono ever. I don't have one yet, but expect to within the hour. I'm at work anxiously awaiting the package that was received today.

Enough about me (for now;)). How's that brick feel on your arm? At least I THINK I see your arm hiding behind that hunk of metal :)

And do you plan to "keep on keepin' on" (as long as we're in the 70's) with additional Omega auto (Lemania) chronos? Or is this the end of the line for you? Even though I consider the 125 to be the pinnacle of mechanical auto-winding 70's chronos, there's always the 80's and "The Grail 376.0822!

Wear and enjoy in the best of health!

Yes a bit snug but I have an extra link on my Mark IV. And yes, not a bar bracelet but fabulous all the same. I can hold it next to my TV model to imagine its bar bracelet on the 125.

So CHEERS my friend! I, too, have a 70's Trinity (albeit with a MkIV, not Lobster) and can now join you in the celebration!

Mmm, What are all those ugly grooves in the case? Looks like it has not been properly broken in

Part of the reason I believe that owning three is reasonable. I need another that's broken-in so I don't worry about bumping into stuff! Haven't figured out why a third one makes sense but I will...

Love the 125, but... agree to disagree. These are (a little) less cumbersome and twice as smart. :)

WOW. You may be turning me around to those chronographs, guys. Very nice 125s. And the Zenith/Movado duo are kinda foxy in a he-man way, too. One on each wrist and you'd be in super hero country, for sure.

    oooh...agreed BUT

the reason I love the Omega is because I'm 47. When I could finally afford a new Rolex Daytona a couple years ago, I couldn't read the minute register. With a center-hand registering the passing minutes, I can see! I can see!

Of course, there's no reason in the world I couldn't click the CLOCK/STOP WATCH app on my phone, but that's not the point, is it? :) I really have come to rely on the ol' wrist mounted chrono over the years...

I know what you mean, the Lemania automatic hand layout is far more readable than the SS Daytona, but Speedy Pro is very readable too

I'm working up the courage to wear my minty 125. I rarely wear "sexy" for the same reason: afraid to scratch or ding it!

I know collectors preach "condition, condition, condition" but my beaters get way more use.

I meant Mark 4.5 of course. I'm just learning all the designations of auto 70's with caliber 1040/1045 movements. But the more I read, the more I want an example of each...
