Great photos and details as usual and the posts you have done @Spikedlee have certainly added to the need for one, hopefully my grey dial will arrive early next week ( I say hopefully as it has been a tortuous process with Watchfinder.fr!)

I read lots of negative remarks about the 300M bracelet so I thought I ought to toss in some positive ones as I love the bracelet. In my opinion, it is a mechanical marvel. The complexity and number of the links make it fit my wrist really well without it becoming loose feeling like a Rolex Jubilee. Moreover, the micro adjustment is superb, the diver's expansion link works with a snap rather than a tug. and the solid end links fit perfectly without scratching the area between the lugs. I also like the 300M bracelet without the taper because it imparts an air of sturdiness to what is a tool watch. In conclusion, I've looked at many of the after market alternatives and find that the that they don't compare to the stock 300M bracelet. I also don't want to make my 300M into a "frankenwatch" by adding a lesser quality aftermarket alternative bracelet that may scratch my beautiful watch between the lugs.

I agree about the bracelet. A lot of fuss made about the fact that it doesn鈥檛 taper...don鈥檛 get it myself.

I unfortunately am in the camp that the bracelet is way too thick and the lack of tapering is quite uncomfortable. I found myself constantly pushing it up and down my wrist, loosening and tightening but never really finding it comfortable. But everyone of course will have different tastes and I do concur that it is very well made.
The rubber strap is my preference and fits perfectly. I almost forget I鈥檓 wearing the watch

Walking around with this watch on in the sunlight and seeing the dial and bezel change tone and colors based on the different types of lighting that hits it is just so satisfying. Just wanted to share my shots from lunchtime today 馃榾

Your photos are great, but I'm a purist. I prefer the Bond bracelet.

The bracelet is comfortable, and mechanically fine, it's just *ugly*. I like it even less than the stock Speedmaster bracelet (the previous generation for sure - the new tapered one is better but I still don't like the mix of brushed and polished). Just give me an option for completely brushed with none of these tiny links, please.

I put mine on rubber and have been happy (though I occasionally miss the feel of that bracelet). Seeing the pictures here on the Speedy 50th bracelet and the Aquaterra bracelet are giving me ideas, though... I wonder if the Forstner flat-link fits on it, I should give that a try.

When I first bought my Seamaster 300m, I didn't think I particularly cared about the stock bracelet and so I had it on an Omega rubber strap only. However, when the stock bracelet was put back on - it grew on me. Now, I actually kind of like it better than the rubber strap. The bracelet is so comfortable, has the quick adjust setup on the clasp (no tools), and I now find it more aesthetically pleasing versus my initial impression. That being said, I think the AT bracelet (posted by texasmade above) looks great as well. The Seamaster 300m is just an all around great watch.

Does anybody else have a badly-rattling diver鈥檚 extension in the clasp? Perhaps mine has a defect, or maybe it鈥檚 supposed to rattle. I鈥檝e had the watch for about 5 weeks and it hasn鈥檛 been abused.

Be careful with that, mine rattled a ton when I got it and hadn't been abused and then one day I was standing in my house (thankfully) and my watch just fell off and it snapped right at where the divers extension is connected to the bracelet.

I brought it to my local OB and they were able to use my warranty so I wasn't charged, but I did bring the clasp with me.

Yikes - thank you for sharing this experience. I will keep a close eye on it.

Couldn鈥檛 help myself, ordered the uncle seiko endlinks and used it on my Apollo 50th bracelet. Completely changed the watch. The endlinks fitment on the bracelet are not perfect, but it works.

It鈥檚 a great model. I had been contemplating about this diver for a while now. Finally decided to pull the trigger and picked up the Sedna Gold on rubber version a few weeks ago and it has been the only one I鈥檝e been grabbing for. Awesome everyday piece. Also swapped out for the Sedna buckle to match the case.
