One thing is indisputable: those three Starmus watches have the coolest caseback of any watch ever made, or that will ever be made:

“It depicts the first ever human spacewalk by Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov (who was most likely wearing a long-lost Soviet government-issued watch), with the “Red Special” guitar of Queen’s lead guitarist Brian May emerging from beyond the horizon, and the Starmus logo.”

.... he sent me this pic from the Omega Museum archives...

... I agree, not as rare as we once thought...

Thanks, @Andy K - satisfying results for an otherwise stupid thread!

Mine direct live from Frankfurt today 😀)))

The most controversial thing in that photo is the notion that Frankfurt knows anything about smoked pulled pork 😉

second hand missing? 🙁

this movement reminds me of the Tru-Beat from Rolex, also produced in the mid '50s and also not so successful commercially

Second hand and the deadbeat components missing, although it went to another member here who will hopefully get it up and running. I also have a recased Trubeat movement with the same problem...🙁

Only 3 but I think they are calling those LE’s or special one offs. I was going to say the same thing.

I’ll throw this one out. Can’t be that many of these.

Didn't Superdoc have one? IIRC there was an issue with him receiving one WITH a date, too? If correct, that would be super, super rare.

I nominate the cal. 751 Golden Seamaster. Here's a pic of an ex of mine, the more common gold-capped version:

I think he had one. The story was he was the reason why they did not have a date window. I’m not sure one has a date window as I thought the movement was different and sans date wheel.

Lol, yes that's exactly right! I remember his voicing displeasure about Omega wanting to supply him with one with a date window after the original watch was shown without. Whatever happened to him?

This one?

Yessir. If memory serves, you have a gold one on bracelet too, right?

Platinum 3903 with diamond dial. Unreal.
Was auctioned off last year and went for 75k, I happen to know the buyer and am dying to see it in the metal.

I've posted this many times but once more can't hurt. I've never seen another black dial dogleg Constellation with a black date disk.
