·Some interesting details the second version of the Longines A-11 . It is more rare than the 1940 A-11 with the Weems bezel. Bellow is 100% correct USAAC issued military specifications flown watch.
1) Larger size
2) Crystal is mineral glass
3) Bridge is not marked
4) Movement serial number is archived as military
5) Dial has no manufacturer identification
6) Issue numbers start with 41- not 40-
7) Case is a screw on caseback. Civilian do not have screw on caseback. Also the top screws on like the caseback.
8) No Weems bezel.
9) Midcase is alloy. Saves on steel. Originally chrome plated base metal.
