Often wondered why there are so few like this fella ?

Never experienced any disadvantages, ok the strap would have to be made or adapted to suit but surely no biggie.
An issue which has crossed my mind over the years and interested if others have thoughts.

My thoughts are they are much easier to remove and less risk involved scratching the lugs. My pet hate! :cautious:

Cousins sell quick release spring bars in sizes 12mm to 22mm @ £2.40 + VAT for a pack of 4 or £19.60 + VAT for a box containing all 11 sizes.

    Stewart H

For all the many times i've been on Cousins site never looked at spring bars, usually delving through many pages trying to find the item I want.
Certainly will add some to my next order.

    You
You do know that you'll need to order straps that will take those, right? Otherwise you need to be proficient with a scapel or other small cutting instrument.

Not necessary, one proper bite with a hound's incisor. ;)

And please don't use them on bracelets....yes I have had to dig these out of a Speedy Pro bracelet not that long ago. Not fun, in particular when the end links are caked so full of dirt I could not even see the little tab on the spring bar. Had to clean the whole watch head and bracelet (after removing the movement of course) in the ultrasonic just to see what was going on inside the end links....

I had one strap with these in and hated the damn thing. It broke at one end and I had a hell of a time getting it out to replace it with a better bar. I was also concerned about catching it on a woolly jumper and losing the watch

In Joizey, we'd be concerned about it catching on your cuff and losing the watch on the Garden State Parkway or NJ Turnpike as you thrust your arm out the window to give some ________ the finger. :D

I see no point in these unless you rotate straps weekly.

So, as long as you are not so foolish as to fit them to a bracelet, wear them over your wooly jumper and enjoy changing straps quite often they are not to bad ? ;)
