I collect CDs (though I haven't bought for the last 4-5 years

I also collect wines. Here are some of the simple, basic bottles:

The special ones (mostly Bordeaux, Rioja and Champagne) are in a proper wine ref of course:

Are they hardball? Or did you just think that the "Please, no guns" in the OP didn't include you? 😉

Got my first geetar about the same year my Dad's 105.012-65 was being made. I think I paid about £10, spread over 20 weeks, for it from a mail order catalogue. My school was close to a London Tube Station. I used to play truant, get on a train into central London and hang around guitar shops. (This accounts for me being a nonuffinkbloke!)😁
That first guitar kicked off a life long love. Over the years they have come and gone.

Some are vintage and collectible.
Some are for everyday use.

I play at least one everyday and have done for the last 50 years. Old Speedy even lives with one of them.
WOW what a great collection.. spent a lot of time in around hank's guitar shop (tin pan alley) Denmark street but like my watch collection window shopping was normally as far as I got but like watches you don't have spend a lot of money to get something you love to wear or play...👍

Thankyou! Yep you're right there about cost. This morning I've been playing a 3/4 size classical, made in Spain. I paid £40 for it in a charity shop.
Back in the early 1970's a Fender Telecaster was £175, a Stratocaster was £225 and a Gibson Les Paul was £325. Lot of dosh back then. My paper Round wouldn't cover it.😁

Blimey thanks for reminding me about Hanks! That brings back memories. Great shop!... but I remember, as we were young kids, they weren't too keen on taking them off the wall and letting us play them. I seem to recall we spent a lot of time outside, staring with our noses pressed up against the shop window. The guys at the Fender Sound house were a little more tolerant with us but eventually we would get told to 'fakk off out of it'!😟

Outside of watches, collections just get a bit silly ... I can't see the point at all ....

I wouldn't consider myself as a collector but I hardly have any other trainers than Adidas Superstars. This is about 3/4 of them. 😀

Well, "collector" or "Imelda", whichever you prefer. 😁

I collect 1st edition books. I love having a wall full of books in my house, a huge pain to move around with though. Generally speaking old 1st edition refrence books, especially those about hunting and fishing command the best prices. My collection consists mainly of works of fiction and crime novels by Walter Mosley, one of America's finest modern day crime writers in my opinion.

Stopped Magic the Gathering cards ten years ago but still have more than 10k rares, bilands, spoilers...

Made a huge declutter two years ago by sorting all the cards and keeping 4 of each. All the rest I have handed over to young new players. Was more than 25 thousands of cards I've given away...

Too many mostly silly things, Magic Cards... I just never sell them off or throw them out :|

Same issue here...::facepalm1::

All things Star Trek: action figures, model starships, uniforms, autographs, toy props, etc, etc ... To say nothing of Blu Ray sets and soundtrack CDs. I have a room in the basement full of the stuff.

Aside from that, James Bond books - a complete hardcover set, with my old Corgi Aston Martin toy car set out in front on the shelf.

I love to cook, and I love Japanese steel.
Each of these is from a different maker.

Cufflinks - mainly from coronation and jubilee years. The top right are my oldest - from Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897

I thought I was bad when it came to cufflinks (and, let's face it, I have more cufflinks than I have shirts) ... I'm willing to bet the GVI are rarer than the EVIII.

EVIII are pretty hard to come by as less were made before he abdicated. Spent years looking for that set 👍

As a rule, because the coronation of George VI was pretty hurried, the commemorative wear for him is rarer.

Yeah that makes sense. Think I've got about 70 pairs in total. 😬 Love the coronation ones though
