Hi Everyone,
up for sale is the classic no-lume Universal Geneve Polerouter S20217-1.

The watch is completely original in every regard.

Case - it looks to have seen a polish in the past, but well done and the lines are still strong.
Dial - good condition, some patina. This reference has a matt dial with a slightly "gritty" texture. (It is not the high gloss pure black that can be seen on other references, but consistent with other examples for this reference and in above-average condition). Please keep in mind this dial is hard to photograph, and I have done my best to present accurate photos. Having seen many photos and holding the watch in hand, the dial looks better in the metal.
Hands - good
Crown - good
Crystal - original and impossible to find. This reference has a very particular profile that sits completely flush with the case. It has a particular installation method and locking ring, which was changed for later references. It is uncommon to find intact. This original crystal was badly scratched up. I spent a lot of money having my watchmaker salvage the crystal to the best of his ability. It is 98% better, but there are still a few small imperfections in the crystal that can be seen under certain lighting conditions, and looks like small dust spots. You can of course swap it out anytime for a generic, but given the rarity of the original crystal, I did everything possible to salvage, and leave that decision up to the next owner.
Mvmt - clean, keeping good time (I don't have a timegrapher, so I mean over 24 hours it's within 1 minute by eye). Service history unknown. (As always, if you intend to wear regularly, a service is recommended).

Sale is head only (no strap/buckle included)

Asking price is $4500 USD, payment method to be discussed

Shipping method to be discussed, at the buyers cost

I have many references here and elsewhere (ebay profile over 25 years, 100% feedback)

The dial shots are high resolution and quality, please excuse the mediocre iphone pics for everything else:
