I have a lengthy list of "should have purchased" watches in my brain, but this Longines really stands out. I had the money, the interest for the brand, which had been worn by family for much of the last century- yet I failed to pull the trigger this day...Enjoy

That’s a nice looking one…. and in this day and age …. Do you know your ‘why’ you didn’t pull your trigger ?

It was priced nearly 50% higher than similar ones I had tracked previously. It eventually sold, so someone picked up a really nice example,

One thing i've learned, there is always another watch to find, so I keep looking....

I have never seen this model before - not in a catalogue or advertising or somewhere else. I may be wrong but it looks somehow strange to me - is there somebody here (may be @DirtyDozen12) who could put some ligth on it? Which reference this is or should be for example?

I have not studied this reference but I have seen other examples. Quite odd watches given that the dials do not have the winged-hourglass emblem.

Cool watch, and there is another version of it but without date, and slightly different hands. But 5 K on the bay ???

I don’t know the first thing about it but the combination of old logo with 1960s/1970s style remînds me of that mysterious and controversial chronograph Longines used as its model for a recent heritage reedition.
May we ask out of which country the watch was being sold?

On a separate note, I cannot begin to count the Longines that got away as far as I’m concerned, as it would give me a headache. Many of them ended up in the hands of famous dealers, or other collectors.
