I have always wanted one.

The hit list is constantly evolving, but the Pepsi GMT has always been on it near the top. Just an icon.

Ideally I would get a 16710 M with a 3186 and add a special order jubilee. But all in I'd be looking at like 11k, which is too much for that watch IMO.

Yes too much.
IMHO, you would be better off with a non surrounded marker
matte dial 16750. Great ones out there for $7000 or so.
Best of all worlds with this one. Plastic crystal charm,
old school matte dial with no WG surrounds. Gorgeous
tritium patina. Quickset! And while I wouldn't call
them scarce, they are hard to find nice ones and they
are being hunted. Many of the matte dials were replaced
at Rolex service with the newer WG surround style.
And it's one of the best looking and versatile watches
around. Period.

Like them so much I got two. A 1969 1675 (originally on a jubilee) and a 2004 16710. One a brothers birth year and the other my sons. Excuses aside I just felt I loved it so much I really wanted a modern and more durable version I could swim and beat a little bit more. The 1675 is still the looker, but I have to respect its age.
