::facepalm1::. I second guessed my post the moment I posted it ... I got fooled for good haha. Must be watch karma coming back at me for poking @DLT222 lately with the m2 buying dilemma. 馃槜.

Well on to the 2255 and bezel hunt then.

I was hoping that someone would bite... 馃槈

You will be hunting a while, it doesn't exist, it is the product of a deranged mind which made a mash up of 2531 bezel on 2255 case...

That deranged mind is mine. I used a 2531 and got a 2255 dial though. I have been trying to peddle the "French LE Super Bleu" thing on the net for quite a while - to see if it would catch on. I sold the watch a long time ago and sometimes I regret it. It was a nice watch. A watch Omega should have made.

I like that shade of blue...be neat to see something like that in production. I like sword hands too, wish my blue had that.

I'm not sure if Omega has ever done a Seamaster with a green dial, but I wouldn't mind having an SMPc/GMT with this color combo...

I did say you were deranged but I never said I didn鈥檛 like it. ;-) It is surprising how well the blue bezel works with the electric blue dial, it isn鈥檛 obvious that it is a modification at all but then I always thought the dial on the 2531 just a little too dark a shade, nearly black, so this solution improves it.

The 2254.50 is my favorite SMP. Wish the next SMP iteration is inspired by it (not by the Sub).

And that Super Bleu is just... SUPER!

As much as I have enjoyed having mine on Bond motif NATO straps, I think I'll leave it on the original bracelet with a micro-clasp for a while...it does look dressier and fits perfectly since I upgraded the clasp. I have NATOs on my daily wearer so that itch will continue to be scratched. Black on Bond rules...馃憤

It really is isn't it...funny, but nothing else really catches my eye the way this thing does.

My Favorite Omega by a mile, the blue can look black more than the black can ever look blue,,I think the blue is a little more versatile with a broader range when it comes to formal or casual.

The evolution of an icon, it's been approximately 25 years since its launch, and it has received small but significant upgrades over the years.
#1 it premiered as a quartz diver
#2 got the calibre 1120 in chronometer grade.
#3 got larger hands, applied hour markers and logo and a Co axial chronometer movement
#4 finally got new lume, lacquered dial and a beautiful scratch resistant ceramic bezel
All those changes maintaining its original core design, unique bracelet, and iconic dial, hands and scalloped bezel, that makes this watch so recognized and beloved and full of personality on its own.

I prefer the latest model in ceramic, which one do you prefer and why?

Awesome,,, I prefer the wave dial. It was my first big deal watch. My fav.

this is great! If I could, I鈥檇 buy them all. For some reason, I like the limited variants of the Seamaster. I鈥檝e had the opportunity to buy a Rio onlympics and a Vancouver. Unfortunately, I鈥檓 not at the stage of my collection where I can jump at these things. Reeeally want to get the Vancouver one. So different and very limited

So my son graduates from the University of Washington next month and I had been saving this blue Seamaster SMPc that I picked up BNIB from an AD for $3K last year. I prefer the black; which I have, but couldn't pass on a deal like that. I had been bragging on the black one I wear and discreetly showed him the pic below...and he says, "ehh...blue isn't really my color." Well...after I picked my jaw off the floor he tells me he likes black, in fact after a brief discussion it becomes obvious he likes black & red as his favorite color scheme (I'm thinking...told ya to go to University of Georgia), and so then I show him the second photo (after showing him a couple of Tudors, which he didn't like either). He immediately says "yeah, that's bad ass!". He's not a watch guy, doesn't know anything about them...but he likes his quartz black Tag Formula 1. To each his own I guess, but damn...
