The dressy-ish watch with the 6-o'clock subdial (a this-or-that query)

It's funny how much little details start to register and matter when getting into fine-grain comparisons like these. The GP is gorgeous, but I personally don't love Breguet numerals. The IWC is almost perfect, but when I see the crown next to the Lange crown, I find myself unable to notice anything else: the crown is just too blocky and protrudes too far.

Such obsessive attention to detail is absurd, and yet if I've learned anything from this hobby, it's that watch-nerds need those details to be perfectly suited to their tastes or else the watch will end up on the sale block well before its time.

Indeed. This thread caused me to take a close look at jlc watches because I haven't given them much close attention and having to look at some of these watches made me realize just how proportioned and thoughtful that moon phase is. Now I am looking at a current Master Control memovox, something I never world have considered, as being a possible pick for myself as a silver dial I would wear that would hit both a casual and semi dress look.

a -dress-watch 😉

Cool, thanks for sharing. If I were inclined to spend $$$ on a watch, this would be the one in 34mm:

The movement is gorgeous:
