Relativity Space set to attempt another launch on Mar 22 with a window from 2300-0100. Their rocket, Terran-1, is 85% 3D printed by mass. If it launches and does well, this will be a huge step forward in affordable reusable rockets.

Still awaiting SpaceX "Polaris Dawn" press meeting to reveal their new spacesuit, EVA-capable space suit which has to be worn by all crew members as the complete capsule will have to be depressurized... .
Ooh I don’t think of the numbers much https://spacenews.com/mars-sample-return-cost-growth-threatens-other-science-missions/
Was keeping an eye on this one. Pretty neat, and wouldn't classify it is a failure. Startup’s 3D-printed rocket delivers stunning night launch but fails to reach orbit https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/22/business/relativity-rocket-launch-florida-scn/index.html
LFG!!!!!! NASA announces Artemis II crew for 1st moon mission in 50 years https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/tech...3?cvid=a0e66e6a6b24406b9e0b514918c7623a&ei=10
Apollo average age was under 40… this crew are all well over 40. A sign we live longer, more to learn these days, more worried about radiation or just pot luck?
Heck yea Tonto!!! Well done to Reid Wiseman and the rest of the Artemis II crew selection. I've had the pleasure of knowing Tonto and I'm thrilled he was select to command the next crewed mission to the Moon. I knew once he came off being Chief of the Astronaut office he was destined for the Moon. So thankful to have this piece in my collection from a future Moon voyager. Hope he rocks the X-33 again to the Moon. Also, here is a great video from the NAS Oceana O-Club at Tonto's Soyuz launch party.
Interesting to see the start of Manned Spaceflight to the Moon... Artemis II crew members named... Exciting mission but... Mission to " Deep Space " was the wrong term here The edge of our Solar System isn't even Deep Space! The nearest Star at 4.2 light years isn't even Deep Space!
Translunar and Cislunar space would be correct? In fairness it is still a bloody long way :0) “Space [...] is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space.”
The Artemis II crew will fly within 6,479 miles of the lunar surface and travel more than 6,000 miles beyond the far side of the moon. This will mark the farthest any human has traveled in space. So, the deepest of space for human flight so far!
Technically…..If they aren’t landing on the moon, they are not really going to the moon…. Heading that way but not actually going to
to too͞; tə when unstressed preposition In a direction toward so as to reach. Towards. Reaching as far as. It is not their destination, but then (to date) everyone else has returned as well.
For astronomers "Deep Space" is a term used to refer to interstellar space. For amateur-astronomers "Deep Space observing" is looking at interstellar distances at other galaxies !
