So there I was trawling hours too late round another supermarket car park Sunday flea market. Endless amounts of those really really nasty Quartz watches and quite a few of those tracksuit/ 3 day half beard watchers who seem to follow you around for a bit and pick up and check everything you've just put down and Gawd the watches, the tardy piles of sparkly where you just know there's nothing there but crap but you're compelled to rake anyway.
I noticed the guy was displaying 4 or 5 in a nice purpose built 28 watch aluminium case with all the wee pillows. So I asked
"How much for the case?"
He kinda looked at me askance and said.."Without the watches?
"yup, just the case".
He looked a bit nonplussed. His Russian pal beside him said "I've got a spare one at home you can have"
"10 Euros" says he
'Done " said I. Didn't even haggle.
Set of keys were in there too.
Now I can keep almost all of my non safe dwelling biscuit tin heroes, beaters, and also rans in the same place, doesn't take up nearly so much space, at can be locked up and hidden away faster than you can say
" Darling is that another watch? "
