I finally broke down and bought one of these 3594 tribute watches, and I'm liking it. I won't say what I paid, but it was a good deal less than a 3570 from the same era and came with bracelet and very nice boxes. (And correct case back). I've often wondered why these seem to be unappreciated. Thoughts?

Nice looking watch, but for me, the broad arrow hands just don't belong on a twisted lug case.

Still a nicd watch and always nice to get a good price.

One of the more knowledgable folks correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is not the correct case back. Is that not an aftermarket sapphire case back? Further, it looks like the movement has the delrin brake rather than the metal one the normal sapphire sandwich has.

    WHAT? I bought a non-original watch?

Seriously, I put the priek display back on for my own enjoyment and ditched the bracelet.

Looks like you might be searching for a pusher before too long if you're not careful.

It was a bit humorous given a thread I started in the vintage side regarding originality. I thought maybe you were giving my chain a friendly yank.

Ah ok I see the thread now. I see how my comment could have been misconstrued. My b.

I'm with @oddboy, those hands and bezel are primed for a FOIS spin off, but they just don't work with a twisted lug case IMO.

I think the best deal on an 861 is a De Ville - could be as low as $1K?

If in needs to be a Speedy, probably a vintage Mark II, could be as low as $1500?

It's fine, but they're not difficult to rebuild or replace.

I have an fois and never wear it. I like this one for now. I don't get hung up on the twisted vs straight lugs. I just like the look of it, and it's safer than wearing one of my 2915s. I'm always afraid the original lum will crumble from the hands when I wear them.

Where did you find this? This is on my Watch Recon alert and they just don't come up. Would love to pick one of these up. I feel it mixes the best of the Speedmaster design elements into a really great package. The broad arrow hands, applied logo, only 2 lines of text and the SS silver bezel. The only thing missing is the display case back - but that is easily rectified. Great find, enjoy it.

If you're patient, and don't necessarily need box or papers, they pop up in Japan from time to time. A month or two back, eLady had 4-5 available, but they're now down to one (~US$2400, but it looks like it was banged up at one time, which is probably why it's the last one remaining).

Yeah, I figure I will just keep looking waiting for one to pop up. If I get real anxious I will just send Kringkily a message and he will source it within a couple of hours. (LOL) Seriously, I really wanted to find a Michael Schumacher Speedy 3507.51 - I looked and looked. I found a couple on sites I really did not trust, so after about 4 months of nothing, I thought - well I will just ping Kringkily. He said he would try and I think that night actually, he came back with this beautiful version. I paid a little more than market, but it was now with someone you could trust so it was worth it. I modified it will broad arrow hands because I really like them, I have the original hands so restoring it to original is no problem. Pictures or it did not happen. Would love to add a 3594 to the stable.

Don't mistakenly navigate to helady.thai , in that case, many examples may be found but the hands rarely match the dial...
