To say nothing of the pedometer based self wind watches circa 1770, possibly attributed to Abraham Louis Perrelet. Roughly 250 years ago!

Thanks, I was not aware of that.

So, in reality, Rolex did not invent the oscillating rotor winding idea.

Correct.

Or probably even the 360º rotor, which I'm pretty sure was introduced by Felsa.
I did have a bunch of articles on the development of the automatic movement, from Harwood onwards, but I'm unable to locate them now.
