Well I was the winner - was about to pay too when I got a cancellation request saying that it was already sold. Apparently it was on consignment and the seller sold it to another buyer... Not surprised since it went so cheap. Kinda disappointed.

Kyle, I guess there was some "nice" fellow collector who made a significantly higher offer to persuade the seller to sell it to him instead of following through ebay rules... and the seller was obviously tempted (and unscrupulous to follow this request)!

Well, due to time difference I totally missed the listing - would have been a nice chronometer to enhance my collection of these rare beasts...
I have never seen this kind of dial on a 30 mm chronometer!

Guess it wasn't meant to be. :( The closest I've seen is Mike's:

nothing new; happens all the time. you should not have accepted the cancellation; most sellers will not risk mayor trouble with ebay. better offers after the sale are very common. gives the seller the chance to cancel and get 10% ebay fees back ! ebay got very greedy with the new fee structure and sellers try to cancel sales and sell outside the bay..... kind regards. achim

Well said! when you're selling something and you get less than you paid, even though it was perhaps market value when you purchased it, it can be disheartening..

Do not be disheartened Kyle.... The way I see it, that watch is not lucky enough to join your awesome collection! ;)

As for ref. 2410 - it is a grail reference for vintage omega collectors particularly those who pursue chronometres. It is rare - from what I've seen perhaps 5% of the manual wind Rg chronometres available come in screwback cases the vast majority of which come in snapback cases. It is also a nice size - 35mm in diameter. Erich (mac_omega) is the real expert on these manual wind chronometres though. Here is a better picture of the only 2410 that I own:
