Being a musician who tours frequently, I think I'm one of the rare people that a day/date complication is actually relevant to. It sounds crazy, but during tours days become so repetitive that there is no difference between weekends and week days, or days of the month. Yet it's important to keep track of the day so we can relate to loved ones at home, not lose our minds, etc. I imagine that there are other professions where days of the week aren't very important which a day/date might help to keep mental track.

I use the date window and make sure to keep it set correctly. One day is much like another.

I too need a watch with day date complication. I also appreciate a good stage manager and tour manager. Both get paid quite well to help get me where I need to be when I need to be there. They make me look good. I love them and they know it.

    have fun

I saw your photos over in the dennis memorial. What run are you out on at the moment? Performers will only ever be as good as their crew :)

Haha I was really worried about this yesterday. I picked up a watch I hadn't worn or wound in about a month (cheapo Vostok) and the date was the 30th on the watch. I almost put it back down just in case. The idea of winding a Vostok to advance it 31 days... I didn't have that kind of time. I really lucked out though, rolled the dice and it was actually on 7am.
