··Sunburst dial fanI just wanted to say thanks to you all for your help, knowledge and the stimulation of learning about watches through OF.
I came here late. I had no history with watches, apart from drooling outside Austin Kaye’s Covent Garden window over watches I never expected to be able to afford.
I wore a pocket watch, a present from my mum on qualifying as a criminal defence lawyer but, reliant on legal aid and with family commitments my focus was on Seiko,Pulsar and Lorus until I discovered eBay, long after everyone else.
After acquiring two Oris BCPDs, I bought my first Omega, then my second ….
.. and on OF discovered Eterna, Hamilton, Longines (for which I have a developing love) hummers and others.
Happily ensconced in the late 50s/60s, @wilderbeast and subsequently, @kaplan took me down the esoteric 70s C case road.
I hope I’m not going anywhere but I have really enjoyed OF and thought that a thank you is in order.
