Enlarging the photo, I can't see an Omega logo etched in the center. Am I missing it? If it's not there, not an OEM replacement to my knowledge. My '71 has the Omega logo.

I have never seen the logo on it..

Edit: It is possible that I missed it, and the fairies came and polished it off, when I was not looking.

My '69 has the logo and it's on the inside.

A bit of a mystery as I bought it new from Morgan & Jones Jewellers, around about 1971.

@Archer might be able to shed some light on this. Perhaps some Speedmaster crystals from that era did not have the symbol etched on them?

They did. It's likely some sort of aftermarket crystal if it's not marked.

I find it easier to see when viewing the crystal from an oblique angle.

Wow that is quite small. I probably would not remember seeing it 50 yrs, ago..

To spoil the fun the title picture is the original, hand polished, and fitted with a protective film. The large marks near the centre were on the inside! Don't ask me how my 'watchmaker friend' managed to do that! So.. I may well have polished out the logo, on the inside between the two photos..
The film was a pleasant surprise. The transmission and reflection are slightly better than without it

The Omega logo is pretty easy to spot, the Rolex coronet is extremely hard to spot in comparison.
