Tell with AS 1130 Movement and Great Art Deco Dial

Dear all. I am hereby putting this fun Tell from the 1940s up for sale.




I don't know much about the piece other that it is fun, eye-catching and wears great. The condition of the dial is good, with a small scratch at the top. The dial is tri-tone with an orange base, golden outside track and copper numerals - it looks absolutely great! I tried capturing some of the play in the numerals below:



The case is chromed base metal and the bezel is a golden shade matching the dial. I am guessing that the crown has been plated at some point, but I don't find the current look detracts. One of the hands are rather natty with plating coming off.






The movement is a A. Schild 1130, a manual winding movement with 15 jewels and up to 41 hours of power reserve. I have not had the watch running for long periods of time, so I am not sure of the power reserve. Service history unknown, no trouble winding or setting time.




I would normally not guarantee water resistance in a vintage watch I sold, but here I will go further and guarantee that there is NO water resistance! 😁
The bezel and crystal assembly is slightly loose in the sense that while it doesn't pop off, it can be turned in place. Water will quickly find its way the dial - keep this one out of harms way.




The Tell is 35.5mm wide takes a 18mm strap. The above mounted vintage leather strap is included.
