I remember they’d drive these fogger trucks through the provincial parks where we were camping. An alarm would ring in advance, telling us to go to the safety of our tents for a few minutes. Because, safety first 👍
I remember the DDT fogging trucks!
And then, each spring, the Department of Highways would send the waste oil truck around to spray down the dirt roads in town to keep the dust down. Turns out PCBs were considered used oil, so I guess were looking at an early version of reuse/recycle.

every spring Mom told us to stay off the sticky mess that was our street for a few days so it wouldn’t end up in the house...
