When their son finally gets home late after school, the mom and dad are at the door waiting for him.
His dad asks, why did you take so long to get home my boy?"
“I was at the library, studying for an exam”. A instrument in the father hand beeps. The father explains, “this is a lie detector, boy! You had better tell the truth…”
“Ok, ok, I was at a friend ́s house and we were watching a Christian film…” The detector beeps.
“Fine! It was a porn film!”
The father looks at him disapprovingly, “I’m ashamed of you! At your I age I never lied to my father!”. The detector beeps.
The wife bursts into laughter. “Well, he certainly is your son!”
    The detector beeps.

I wonder if it works regarding halitosis…I know it works regarding stinky Omega replica NASA straps [pictured below on the wrist with an 1861]…anyway, it’s probably worth the old college try regarding halitosis…

Everyone’s humor bar is different. For instance, I liked your cucumber post, but for some, it was too much.

It's just humor. Your most recent post made specific fun of Microsoft. That is also "political", as those who work for, or are sympathetic to the company, may not be amused. Not long before, you posted a joke relating to fat people, meaning that a fairly large percentage of the American public could potentially have been offended. Etc.

If you believe that there is some clear line that shouldn't be crossed, please do describe it.

That's my point, and a shot across the bow to Mods. That post, plus another one, were removed by the Mods, but they allowed this other clearly politically vulgar post. Look, I get that OF is of a certain "bent". I simply ask that fairness prevail when it comes to moderating.

I would certainly draw a line at saying making fun of Microsoft updates is political. I mean, really?

So you can't answer the question.

It's ok to possibly offend fat people, but religion is...sacred?

re: Microsoft, I suspect that you meant politically charged, which is not what I understood from "political". But even if I now correctly understand what you were trying to say, would you object to someone showing a clip from Monty Python's The Life of Brian?

As a fat person, I have no problem offending fat people.

As a MS user for 30yrs, I have no problem offending Microsoft users.

If you read my other comment, my issue is with the moderation, not other users. I know you guys can take it.

BTW, the vast majority of the content I put here comes from my Mother in Law's retirement home Facebook page. I figure if it's funny for 80yr old grandmothers, it's probably safe here.

Sadly that has not been the case....

Sure, we can take it, but I'm still unclear about your objection, and how you would suggest that the Mods decide whether or not something should be removed.

Anything that might offend 80yo grandmothers? Too sexually explicit, whatever that means?

That's anti-religious dogma actually. Okay, maybe some anti-Nickleback dogma too...I'm personally okay with both. ;)

I guess some might see it as vulgar, given that it refers to genitalia, but "politically vulgar" suggests an objection to the satirisation of some elements of the Christian community's attitude towards sex education. In which case you appear to feel that the mods should remove the post because it satirises Christianity and not because it mentions genitalia.

Interesting that you feel OF has a particular political bent. I think I may have mentioned it before, but one of the things I like about this place is that I have no clear knowledge of, nor any interest in, engaging with people here on political matters. There are certainly people here with views about things I don't share, but I don't make a mental note of who they are because I'm here to talk and learn about watches and those people are not trying to ram their views down my throat.
