Not too long ago, I asked for your opinions on syringe hands. Do you avoid them or just go for it? After lots of thinking, I decided to take the risk.

It came to me non-running and with a bad crystal. But I saw the potential of what this could be. This oldie has a lot of character. I love the minute track and the lugs. I'm going to move towards older Omega now.

And of course, here are the pics! My 1944 Omega 30T2! 馃榿 Shout out to my friend watchmaker (@passed_time_vintage on IG) who did an amazing job. Happy weekend all.

Taking risks on watches with bad photos/descriptions/crystals is always a bargain. I've done it a few times and roughly half the time was very pleasantly surprised, and the other half, realized I overpaid a bit after finding some deeper flaws that were hidden. Its all part of the game, and when it turns out well, the happiness is beyond amazing.

Congrats on the beautiful watch.

Thanks all!! I'm super happy with my new Omega. And yea, it does look like a 2179 dial. I am still on the lookout for one. A US army would be extra cool

Well done on the restoration to a lovely vintage piece. anytime a piece of history can be turned into a functional piece of history is cause for celebration.

Wear it in good health, enjoy it and make memories.

That's a beautiful little thing, I'd have definitely taken the risk on the one. Great move and fab result!
