Sweep second pinion 30T2 RG - what movement is compatible? >>

Bought a parts movement. Looks like most of the parts are there. Pinion could be hidden

Checked Jules Borel's page to match parts, but they don't list the SC caliber.

I have a pinion from a 30T2pcsc - 6.65 mm

Caliber 283 is 6.88 - not really much of a difference

Can't see why either one isn't compatible unless the diameters of the pivot end is wider

Anyone have a list of compatible sweep movements to the RG?

Thanks

I think you could take either, but maybe 283 is the better choice...

Does not show as compatible on Borel's website with cal. 283, only with 280. That would give me cause for concern.

I don't think there is a difference on this part between RG and standard movement.

Only thing you could do is buy it and try it out.

Thanks. Figured the only difference would be height 30T2 one I have is cleaner than the 283

Movement is currently in Florida, so won't see it for 1.5 weeks

Balance isn't correct on the movement, but I bought due to the condition

Only other problem is someone knocked the jewels out of the going train bridge and sweep bridge, so have to buy new ones and have installed.
