    This one has been discussed here before. I think the dial is original, but had some kind of environmental damage or improper cleaning at one point.

    IMO not a $1,000 watch.

    I'd rather pay for another watch than pay attention!

    For some reason these dark nickel finish dials have a propensity to age like this, the one on my Scarab has similar but more mottled deterioration. You can see the remnants of the original color around the very other edge of the dial. Figures/hands do appear to have been touched up at least.

    More like a $500-$650 watch IMHO.

    yea sorta looks as if someone "fogged" some color on there.
    thin enough to let print show through but partially cover ugly stain
    u can see paint splatter around edges

    When I looked at it the word Indian came to mind, it just looks like so many from that region.
