Just noticed this Suverän for sale and thought I’d share here for your thoughts.
It’s a shame about the damaged dial but I actually think the markings look quite cool.

The dial is still quite legible, and the patina adds a uniqueness that you won't find on another dial.

Looks like it's fairly consistent in condition across the components @davten, which to me always feels like a good sign. Would be good to see the back of the case and the movement if they have shots available 👍

I like the way the dial finish has degraded - but from lots of conversations around the topic, know that this is an "in the eye of the beholder" kinda thing... one mans beautifully patinated, is another mans ugly as sin.

Absolutely!
I like it personally. I agree re caseback and movement.
Thanks.

My Suveran says hello 😉

Ah yeah. Lovely.
So many variations on a theme.
All really cool I think.

Great patina but I'm doubting...
It seems hands have a perfect condition and toasted radium but numerals are not according; maybe posterior relumened radium or natural migration, not sure. Number 5 is specially significant.
But after all, it's a great watch. Ref 2400.
