A sharp eyed WIS caught sight of PM Abe wearing a C-cased 1960's Constellation in the video showing the ending of the Rio Olympics. Seen here: http://watchesbysjx.com/2016/08/jap...ntage-omega-constellation-as-super-mario.html All the Best.
I wonder if it's his personal watch. Does Omega's sponsorship of the Olympics require everyone to wear its watches?
Saw it too, and was surprised he didn't wear a Seiko (given the context of the video - all things Japanese)
ditto to what @al128 said. Also @Jungle Jim - probably the best thread title I've heard in a while. Not a constellation man but I just had to click.
hmm...if on loan from Omega, why feature a watch from the 60's and not a modern one? Why Connie C-cased? Questions!
Wearing a modern high end Omega wouldn't have been a great look for him personally, Japan has some massive economic problems and a flashy watch wouldn't have sent the right message I'd imagine, while a C-Case is a good fit, economical but excellent quality.
