Dear friends at Omega, Bienne

Your 2017 Reissue of the 1957 Triology pieces was a major TRIUMPH!!!!
Please consider reissuing the Ranchero 2990 (or 2996 if you wish).
As you know, this year, your competitor returned the very popular Explorer model to it's previous classic 36mm size and this has generating an enormous interest especially amidst of the current trend of returning to more classically sized time pieces.
Ever since 1989 when the Explorer 1016 was discontinued, there has been a hole in the market for something comparable which no watchmaker including Omega has been able to fill. Now is the time!
Just as you did with the Railmaster, scan an pristine example of a Ranchero 2990 or 2996 in order to duplicate it's extremely comfortable and attractive dimensions, as you did with the Railmaster 2914. If needed, branded it with something other than the previously controversial name "Ranchero" and call it a "Seamaster" or "Railmaster" or "Flightmaster". Please use a slightly darker color for the dial field than you did for the Trilogy releases. You can keep the slim case thickness by using a hand-wound movement of your choice. Please offer a similar bracelet as the Triology pieces, but design the bracelet with a taper.
This Ranchero issue will aggressively compete with the Explorer 124270 and will be a very welcome addition to either the Railmaster or Seamaster lines.

Thank you for your time and attention!
Happy Scanning!

Railmaster Trilogy is probably as similar (and close to) a success Ranchero will be w.r.t. the market reception (and don't get me wrong, I love my Ranchero, which is probably the nicest one I have seen)...but I may be wrong.

IMHO a bit-true clone of the 165.024 (no date) will be a total

I get that and yes...I love my Trilogy Railmaster as well....but it's just a bit too big and heavy to be my perfect, "don't need another" 3 hander after having worn some of my smaller watches for a couple weeks.
If they made it in a 36mm size, we'd be pretty close to perfect...and guess what? it would look so close to a Ranchero, that I figured, why not just reissue the Ranchero all together...!

Perhaps it might look something like this....
We can dream, can't we?

So far, the closest to a Ranchero reissue is the upcoming Falcon series 3 from the wonderful microbrand Lorier.
I still think Omega could capitalize on a faithful reissue of this cult favorite!

Ain't nothin' like the real thing. 🥰

But I'd still take a real hard look at a reissue, Omega. 😁

I think the issue is every time they have tried to get the Railmaster in its various forms to sell it hasn’t worked. The latest re-imagining of the Railmaster is off the market it seems after a very muted customer response. Given that I don’t think ranchero will happen as it’ll be an even less popular piece.

I couldn't agree more with what you've said!! I would only add that the new Ranchero should be water resistant to 100m.
I bought the RM reedition because I was looking for something a bit similat to the 1016 but made now (I don't like the new Explorer that much). I'm very happy with the RM but the case is a bit thicker and larger than I like for every day. A 36mm sapphire crystal Ranchero would be perfect!!

Almost nobody has, which is why it’s looking like they’re killing it off again

I would go for a thin, sturdy and maybe quarts powered " Fieldmaster" in 38mm.
