    Yes have already purchased several gator straps from Lou's source - a good one I agree.

    How flexible are the gators though? My biggest problem is every gator strap I buy ends up keeping its original straight shape and being stiff as a piece of cardboard.

    Buy better ones. They're worth it. ;):p

    You could also treat them with Hydrophane. It softens and waterproofs leather. Works on croc too from what I'm told, especially since the backing is usually leather of some type.

    No problem with these gators and that's why I loved the hirsch artisanal gators from James Rust - beautiful and soft. If you want a higher grade strap and are willing to pay buy the sirtoli straps - first rate ones as well.

    Ugly pic, but it looks good in real life. For me, finding nice short 18mm straps is a problem...but I really like this one. :)

    Well they're just hanging from the buckles, so nope. I moved them down to the last row just in case though.
