So I picked up this. My first digital for ages. I am never fond of bracelets and would rather something else.
The NATO works ok but has big gaps at the lug ends. I have seen those red kevlar bands that came with them and that could work, but I haven’t found any. Something in rubber, kevlar, nylon would seem to suit the ethos of the watch. Not averse to leather but it doesn’t seem to gel

All suggestions gratefully received, those with photos even more so 1C699DE3-3F59-4931-9CDA-9458DFC94C9D.jpeg 345A15E6-FE54-4BC6-B51D-72F1ECF124C4.jpeg

    Hi Jim,

Congrats to your very nice X33.
Nothing to say against the OEM Kevlarstraps. They are sufficiently domed at the lug side to cover that gap there and are just an exclusive choice for that first gen X33. Available only at the Omega ADs of choice, costs without buckle here in Germany are around 140€ and Reference for the red one is 98000071.

My advice, ask for the extended version of it (98000071L), that bring another 2 cm to the pretty short original which obviously was dedicated only to the Japanese market :)

Also avaliable in green and black and also looks great on several other 20mm lug2lug Omegas.

    $140 shipped by register mail.jpg 2aab3547de61941dca0aad1d5c2bb627.jpg 20180522.jpg

Clear recommendation, just go for it

    Cheers,

    Winny

The X-33 actually came with fitted Kevlar straps, which might be hard to find. Omega can probably still sell you one of those.

My experience with the Kevlar straps was not good, I would personally steer clear. The movable keeper ended up coming off altogether.
