    Hi all,

Just got a beautiful new strap from bulang and sons. I ordered the short version (6.5" wrist) but am wondering if I should have gone for the normal size. They have a good returns policy.

On the 2nd to last hole so almost no strap poking out past the 2nd keeper, which is pushed right next to the first one.

Does this look off? First World problems and all that...

The overall length difference between a short and standard length is approximately 3/4 inches. Looking at your photos, this would put you on the 2nd to last hole on the opposite end when using a standard strap (assuming 1/4 inches between holes). Personally I do not like long tails so the fit of your current short strap is preferable.

The problem comes from the fixed keeper that is too far from the buckles. Other than that, The lenght looks good to your wrist.

Thanks guys. Still think it's heresy to have a leather strap on a dive watch but this way I can pretend it's a new watch !

I agree about not having a long tail sticking out. Personally, I'd keep it.

It looks good on you, but my pref is a longer tail. Maybe order the reg length next time.

I don't like long tails either and that looks fine. as long as it's comfortable, that's the main thing.

    Remove the floating keeper.

    That's what I was thinking.

Strap is hopefully going on a vintage speedy one day when life stops messing with my plans and lug to lug will be a mm or 2 longer than the bb58 so strap should be a keeper anyway

Looks great to me. I have a short tail on the leather strap that I wear my Speedy on, looks just like yours. I wouldn’t return personally

It stretched out a bit, now on the 3rd from last hole. Love the strap but have switched to a tropic for the time being.

I prefer the look of the leather but I still can't square it with the lack of water readiness. Like having a nice car laid up on bricks.

    Hello folks

I would like to take this thread to the other side of the strap length spectrum :). Long story, but I inherited this buffalo strap and put it on my Seamaster on the weekend. This is my first day wearing it, and already it is extremely comfortable to wear. However, I realize that it is a longer strap than I am used to wearing so I am wondering, is it too long? Is this the horological version of white socks with a suit? ;)

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

If you feel comfortable then it’s okay. We all have different preferences. If you ask me it’s slightly too long. I don’t like if I clearly can see the strap end from the watch side of my wrist just twisting a little.
