I've seen a few of these in the wruw thread and decided to purchase one online. They look nice and are affordable.

My question is Stowa considered a micro brand? Looks like they have a long history. Just curious here on what the consensus is.

Stowa, Tutima, and Laco are old German brands. Not exactly micro.

Not a micro but certainly small. From what I’ve read it’s only about 20 people keeping the brand alive. Never heard a bad word about them, and the little I have dealt with them has been a pleasure. Pics because we always need pics

It’s a matter of definition. Some would argue it classifies as a microbrand, but personally I don’t view it as one.

Certainly very nice watches and great value for money. Not affiliated with them in any way, just a fan 😀

What did you end up going for? Jwit’s Ikarus also?

I actually went with the blue Ltd Pro Diver after I looked over their offerings. I like Jwits a lot, but I always gravitate towards diver types.

Stowa can't be called Micro brand. It'as a (very) old german brand. The mainly case some ETA movements like many swiss brand. Nevertheless it's a serious brand with some nice designs. I don't know what can be called a micro brand, may be some people who make their watches from A to Z like Philippe Dufour. May be De Bethune?
If you want some cheaper german watch Steinhart watches are nice.

I owned a Ikarus at one point. Very nice watch and very accurate. Lug to lug was a bit too much for my eyes. If it were available in 36mm, I’d own one again.

Congrats, it’s a good brand. I wear the Partitio as my beater. Haven’t had any issues, good customer service.
