Just wondered what everyone uses to store their lovelies. I am getting a new box as my current doesn't have room for all my watches and as I now have certain ones for certain occasions I don't want to leave them lying around the bedroom.

I was thinking about a nice case such as the one below

Bedside draw or wherever I take my watch off. I have bought some travel rolls to keep them in, but they are in the UK and I am away until August, so when I go home they will be kept in those.

My insurance company informed me that my collection needs to be in a fire proof safe at home or in my bank. My expensive winders are back in their boxes and all my watches are in travel rolls at the bank which sucks. Shopping for a good safe. The stuff at Staples / Costco is crap so I will need to use a locksmith.

Find a local gun store. The typical gun safe with provide up to 2 hours of protection at 1500F. Mine is around 750 lbs and is bolted to the floor and the wall. Holds an amazing amount of stuff. Can be had for around 1000US.

We've lived in the same house for 45 years. In that time, we've had one serious attempt at a break in, but he was foiled by an oak door, a "communicator" door lock (like you find between adjoining hotel suites), and a double cylinder dead bolt! But still, my watches are never on display in our home! Where do I keep them? Sorry, classified! I don't believe in having insurance on my watches. Insurance companies don't care about your expense involved in finding replacements, and you only have one year in order to locate a replacement. Insurance is supposed to give you peace of mind when you're not at home. An expensive display case (I have 2 that hold 100 watches) doesn't give peace of mind!
