Hello, hoping the collective wisdom of this forum can answer a simple omega stopwatch question... This stopwatch starts by unscrewing the post to the left of the crown/button. Any ideas as to why this may be? Doesn't it make more sense to start and stop with a push button action rather than a twist?

Your watch looks like an "Industry Timer" from the 1960s. The watch should start stop from the crown and reset while running via the left pusher for split timings.

If the left pusher unscrews I think something is not right.

Our resident Stopwatch Watcher @tdn-dk may be able to tell you more.
